Bogra Sherpur police recovered 15 kg of cannabis

Police recovered 15 kg of cannabis and a motorcycle in a raid in Bogra’s Sherpur Upazila.

The cannabis and a motorcycle were recovered from the Paschimpara area of ​​Mamurshahi village in the Upazila around 9:30 am on Tuesday (June 15), but the drug dealers fled.

According to the police, two riders were coming on an unnumbered Styker motorcycle on the Dhaka-Bogra highway in the Mahipur area while on duty with SI Rabiul accompanying force of Sherpur police station. When they suspected, SI Rabiul Islam, chased them with force. The drug dealers, sensing the police activity, rushed to Mamurshahi Road through Hamshayapur Road. When SI Rabiul chased them with the help of the people, they fled leaving their bags and motorcycles on the road in the Mamurshahi West Para Cemetery area.

Sherpur Police Station SI Rabiul Islam said, “We recovered a black bag and a motorcycle with the help of the people.” Then the bag was opened in front of the people and 15 kg of cannabis was found in 3 packets.

The Officer-in-charge of Sherpur Police Station Md Shahidul Islam said the police station was preparing a case under the Narcotics Act.
