Money snatched from meat traders in Dhunat Upazila

A businessman named Sohrab Ali (52) has been accused of snatching money from Dhunat in Bogra. On Sunday afternoon, the businessman became the plaintiff and lodged a written complaint with the Dhunat police station mentioning the names of three drug lords.

According to the complaint, Sohrab Ali, son of late Abdus Samad Sheikh of Rudrabaria village in Chowkibari union of the Upazila, is a meat trader by profession. He was returning home at around 8 pm on May 27 after selling meat at Mathurapur market. On the way, when he reached Goalbhag Bridge, the miscreants took him down from the autorickshaw and started beating him. At that time, the miscreants snatched taka 20,000 from the trader and left him naked.

Sohrab Ali, a meat trader, lodged a written complaint with Dhunat Police Station on Sunday afternoon, naming Harun, 40, son of Maqbool of Pirhati village in Mathurapur Union, Momin, 35, son of Shah Ali and Hitler, 32, son of late Mohir Uddin.

Dhunat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kripa Sindhu Bala said an officer has been assigned to take cognizance of the businessman’s complaint. Legal action will be taken after an investigation in this regard.
