Visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina are sitting in a bilateral meeting. Modi arrived at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s office at 5 pm on Saturday (March 27). At that time Sheikh Hasina welcomed him.
A number of MoUs are expected to be signed between the two countries at the meeting. The MoUs signed for the signing of the MoU include two projects on the elimination of trade and commerce tariffs, increase in communication in information and technology, cooperation in environmental protection and disaster relief, and a playground in Rajshahi city.
According to sources, the two top leaders will discuss various bilateral issues for about half an hour. Later, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the representatives of the two countries through talks.
Talking to officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is learned that Dhaka will emphasize connectivity during the meeting of the two top leaders. In addition to the road, rail, and waterways, sea connectivity issues will be presented to increase inter-trade with neighboring countries in particular. In the coming days, there will be discussions on the path of the two friendly countries and the solution to the Rohingya problem, including tackling the coronavirus.
