Although the Baishakhi allowance check of the MPO registered teachers and employees of the private educational institutions has been released, the teachers and employees are not able to collect it before April 21 as the bank is closed.
On Monday (April 12), the Department of Secondary and Higher Education released eight checks for the government part of the Baishakhi allowance of 1428 Bengali years.
But the money was supposed to be withdrawn from Tuesday (April 13) to April 18.
But after the Cabinet Division issued all-out restrictions from April 14 to 21, Bangladesh Bank announced the closure of all branches of the bank. The bank will be open for one day only on Tuesday (April 13). As a result, private teachers and employees are not able to collect the Baishakhi allowance.
Eight checks for the government part of the Baishakhi allowance have been handed over to the head offices of Agrani, Rupali, and Sonali Bank, the department said in a statement. Teachers and employees will be able to withdraw this allowance till April 18.
Incidentally, government and private government employees and teachers and employees of educational institutions receive 20 percent of the basic salary Boishakhi allowance.
