Police have recovered the floating body of an old woman named Mamta Begum (80) from Bangali river in Bogra's Dhunat Upazila.

Police have recovered the floating body of an old woman named Mamta Begum (80) from Bangali river in Bogra’s Dhunat Upazila.

The body of the old woman was recovered from the Bengali river in Bererbari village of Nimgachhi union on Monday (May 24) at noon. The deceased was identified as Mamata Begum, wife of Mofiz Uddin of Dhalipara village under Nimgachhi union.

Dhunat Police Station SI Abdur Razzak confirmed the incident and said that on Sunday morning, Mamata Begum went to Nimgachhi Union Parishad from her home to collect old age allowance. From there, Mamata went to visit her daughter Kalpana Khatun’s house in Bakerbari Fakirpara village.

He then left for home on Sunday afternoon. The body of missing Mamta Begum was recovered on Monday afternoon and sent to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
